About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a GPS Technician Level 1 responsible for working on the day-to-day requirements needed to support the company with installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of field deployed technology assets. Assets include GPS auto steer, telematics, weather stations, and other technology systems. Serve as support for a wide variety of precision farming operations and techniques. Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience with 12-volt electrical systems and/or successful completion of an acceptable level of electrical education in lieu of experience, required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with all levels of employees in a professional manner.
  • Ability to clearly understand and take directions that are applied to assigned tasks.
  • Ability to learn new technology-based systems in an “on the Job” training environment.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends depending on business needs, required.
  • Able to travel occasionally, some overnight travel outside of Kern County, required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
  • Previous experience with Precision Farming Technology equipment
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
