About The Position
As a GPS Technician, you will conduct GPS data collection for natural gas infrastructure, ensuring accurate and up-to-date facility records. This role requires collaboration with locators and effective communication with the public regarding project updates.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience collecting GPS data in the utility industry
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Join and maintain Union membership
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate GPS data collection of existing gas infrastructure to ensure up-to-date facility records
- Collaborate with locators to develop and execute work plans for designated areas
- Serve as a liaison to the public, effectively communicating project updates and ensuring transparency on behalf of the client.
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
- Performs other related tasks as requested by leadership
