About The Position
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) is hiring a Project Manager in San Jose, California. GPRS specializes in underground utility detection, video pipe inspection, and concrete structure scanning. Project Managers are trained to become ground penetrating radar experts and provide private utility locating and concrete scanning services that help reduce project delays and on-site safety risks. The role combines technical fieldwork with customer service and project management, with varied work sites and no typical day in the field. After initial paid training, Project Managers receive a base salary plus monthly bonuses, with a stated total annual income of $65,000–$75,000. The position includes travel up to 25%, a day shift, and a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends as needed. Employees receive a company vehicle, equipment, laptop, and cell phone.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Physically capable of carrying up to 60 pounds.
- Able to work or walk on concrete and walk for long periods.
- Comfortable working on small to large construction sites.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Able to pass a drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Live within or be willing to move within 30–50 miles of the posted city.
- Drive and willingness to learn to use GPR and other equipment, with a commitment to safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform private utility locating and concrete scanning to help mitigate project delays and on-site injury risks.
- Learn to operate ground penetrating radar and other equipment to complete locating projects.
- Serve customers throughout projects and provide professional, prepared, and proficient written and verbal communication.
- Manage time effectively while working independently at varied job sites.
- Deliver strong customer service to increase the customer base and demonstrate GPRS’s commitment to quality and safety.
- Stay curious about industry trends and technology.
- Work safely and demonstrate integrity, teamwork, mutual respect, and a growth-minded approach.
