Requirements

  • Terminal degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  • Licensed as Psychological Associate or Psychologist in DC.
  • Prior experience teaching (TA accepted).
  • Evidence of strong writing skills.
  • Evidence of strong clinical skills (APA accredited internship preferred).
  • Use of Qualtrics, Canvas, Microsoft Office Suites, and SPSS.
  • Strong background and interest in substance abuse research and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate speakers for our professional development/didactic seminars
  • Create and update curriculum to include substance abuse training.
  • Advise students and ensure they are obtaining correct hours on their practicum sites.
  • Create and collect measures for annual grant reporting.
  • Serve as a teacher’s assistant for practicum, externship, and psychopathology courses.
  • Coordinate and communicate with substance abuse community stakeholders.
  • Assist with grant activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty and community stakeholders for program improvement.
  • Work closely with other university, college, and division faculty and professionals
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, students, and community stakeholders
  • Participate in grant governance with other staff and students.
  • Create flyers, graphics, and social media postings.
  • Additional duties may be required as needed for grant administration.
