This role involves performing highly advanced senior-level computer programming work. The developer will study information needs, confer with users, and analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes to develop software solutions. This includes investigating problem areas, preparing and installing solutions by determining system specifications, standards, and programming. The position requires writing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex programs, including client/server and web-based applications using C# (.Net), Blazor, and/or SQL. The developer will design, develop, and implement specialized programs or routines to create, supplement, and enhance front and back-end web-based applications software using HTML5, CSS, C# .NET Blazor, SQL, Stored Procedures, Oracle, and SQL Server. Close coordination with systems analysts, architects, and business areas is expected for requirements gathering, validation, and technical issue resolution. The role also includes supporting Texas Department of Agriculture applications software by diagnosing problems and implementing changes, and potentially migrating licensing functionality to modern platforms while ensuring legacy data portability. Proficiency in Visual Studio 2022, .NET Core 9.0, Oracle DB, and DevExpress tools is expected to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. The position also involves performing research and analysis for specialized programs and recommending process improvements for application development projects.
