About The Position

The Govt Informatica Developer will support Data Engineering and Data Governance work in SHARP. This role requires 8 or more years of experience, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The developer will independently perform a variety of complicated tasks, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected. The role involves understanding business objectives and problems, identifying alternative solutions, and performing cost/benefit analysis. The developer will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. This includes conferring with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements. The developer will write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs, and review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360.
  • Experience establishing Master Data and Reference data for large organizations.
  • Experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica DQ.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Python scripts for automation and interaction with APIs.
  • Candidates must already reside in Texas and be LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Informatica MDM is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted.
  • Masters degree or 6+ years experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or Public Health preferred.
  • Experience at a state agency preferred.

  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
