About The Position

Advanced Roofing is seeking a results-driven Government & Strategic Accounts Sales Representative to grow and manage high-value government and strategic customer relationships. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing contracts, supporting bid strategy, and maintaining long-term client partnerships. The ideal candidate will act as both the sales lead and account owner, ensuring seamless execution from opportunity pursuit through contract award and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 7–10+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development
  • Government or institutional account experience preferred
  • Construction/roofing industry experience preferred
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Successful Background Check
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and CRM skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new government and strategic account opportunities
  • Lead efforts on term contracts, piggyback agreements, and negotiated procurements
  • Develop bid strategies in collaboration with leadership
  • Negotiate and close contracts aligned with company goals
  • Expand opportunities within existing accounts
  • Track contracts, renewals, and utilization
  • Identify underperforming contracts and recovery strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all government requirements
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients
  • Maintain relationships to ensure retention and repeat business
  • Provide account updates and reporting
  • Coordinate handoff to operations and project teams
  • Support contract execution, documentation, and change orders
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline tracking
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance
