PG&E’s Local Public Affairs team leads the Company’s government relations activities and strategies in the cities and counties we serve, helping to shape complex, proactive public policy debates that support our customers and local communities, invest in climate resiliency and the stability of the grid, and assure the long-term success of the company. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong governmental, political, and community relationships within Alameda County. The position requires extensive external engagement and a demonstrated ability to build consensus and partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and public presentation skills, along with the ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment. This individual should be a confident public speaker with experience in public testimony and political engagement. The position is based in Oakland, with occasional travel throughout Northern California. Provides strategic planning and analyses, and policy development. Develop strategies to support programs and initiatives incorporating understanding of customer needs, industry direction, business impacts and company vision. Work with regulators, utility industry peers and/or internal departments to influence the company and/or regulatory and industry efforts around current and future priorities, funding constraints and future business needs. Influence company and/or regulatory and/or industry priorities considering inputs from customer research, business impacts and PG&E strategies and priorities This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland General Office once per week and based on business needs. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $105,000 Bay Area Maximum: $169,000
