About The Position

Mercer Health & Benefits, LLC is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Government Informatics Consultant – Qlik BI Developer. This role may permit a hybrid work schedule for candidates within a commutable distance from the Raleigh, NC office, in accordance with company policies. The consultant will be responsible for creating, testing, and debugging QlikView/Sense analytics dashboards and Nprinting Reports, as well as developing custom extensions in Qlik Sense using JavaScript and D3. Key duties include maintaining data loads and QlikView/Sense dashboards and reports for optimal performance and timely updates, collaborating with BI architects to gather and document BI system requirements, and translating business requirements into technical specifications for consistent reporting and metadata enhancements. The role also involves extracting, transforming, and loading data into QlikView/Sense tools, requiring data modeling across multiple sources, and advocating for Qlik's best practices. Additionally, the consultant will provide technical support to ensure data availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments, and offer technical assistance and cross-training to team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any) or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a related position.
Three (3) years of experience with developing BI solutions using QlikView and Qlik Sense.
Three (3) years of experience working in Data Warehouse environments, reporting on dimensions/hierarchies with experience in Star Schema/Snowflake modeling and Fact & Dimensions tables.
Three (3) years of experience developing complex Qlik data models.
Three (3) years of experience using set analysis and set expressions and creating data load scripts in data load editor to develop in Qlik Sense, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, VB, and JSON.
Three (3) years of experience utilizing scripting language to meet complex business requirements.
Three (3) years of experience utilizing QlikView Publisher capabilities.
Three (3) years of experience using SQL RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server), data warehouse, and Hadoop/big data systems and performance tuning.
Three (3) years of experience using ETL tools including SSIS, Informatica, and Snaplogic.

Responsibilities

Create, test, and debug QlikView/Sense analytics dashboards and Nprinting Reports.
Create custom extensions in Qlik Sense, including JavaScript and D3.
Maintain data loads and QlikView/Sense dashboards and reports for efficient performance and timely data updates.
Work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) architects to gather and document required BI system requirements.
Document BI report requirements and technical specifications with input/output technical design.
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used for consistent reporting and metadata enhancements.
Extract, transform and load data into QlikView/Sense tools (requires data modeling across multiple data sources).
Utilize Qlik's in-memory data discovery architecture and advocate and communicate adherence to Qlik's best practices and standards.
Provide technical support as required to ensure the data availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members as needed.
