About The Position

Morrison & Foerster's Government Contracts and Public Procurement Practice Group represents clients in a wide array of industries and with all types of government contracts and public procurement matters. This includes bid protests and other contract-related litigation, contract negotiations, investigations, compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, technology licensing, cybersecurity, and government contract aspects of M&A transactions. The firm is seeking one junior and one mid-level experienced, lateral associate to join their growing and vibrant team.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of government contracts experience in government contracts litigation, counseling, advisory and/or transactional matters.
  • Outstanding writing and analytical skills.
  • Top academic credentials.
  • Admitted to the District of Columbia bar or able to waive into the District of Columbia bar.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in bid protests and other contract-related litigation.
  • Engage in contract negotiations.
  • Conduct investigations related to government contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Handle technology licensing matters.
  • Address cybersecurity issues.
  • Manage government contract aspects of M&A transactions.
