Job Purpose: The Government Contracting Assistance Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to businesses seeking opportunities in federal, state, local, and tribal government contracting. Through GSI's APEX Accelerator program, this position provides technical assistance, training, and one-on-one counseling to help businesses navigate government procurement processes and successfully compete for contracting opportunities. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, delivering educational workshops and outreach activities, assisting with registrations and certifications, and supporting businesses throughout the contracting lifecycle. The Government Contracting Specialist works closely with clients to identify opportunities, overcome barriers, and strengthen their ability to pursue government contracts. As a representative of GSI and the APEX Accelerator program, this position contributes to regional economic development by supporting business growth, increasing government contracting participation, and helping businesses access new markets.
