About The Position

This position is in the Office of the Attorney General in the Administrative Services Unit in Tallahassee, Florida.

Requirements

• Seven (7) years of experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work; or
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to those applicants who have budget and cash management experience as well as in the preparation of Schedule I’s for the Legislative Budget Request and reconciliation of Inter and Intra fund transfers for Form3 completion and review Trial Balance.

Responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions for budget approval, including appropriate accounting codes.
• Preparation of monthly budget projections.
• Process request for investment and liquidation of investments as requested. Update and reconcile spreadsheet for invested funds monthly.
• Prepares budgetary analyses and reports on funded position contracts as directed.
• Complete analysis of quarterly reports to reconcile Inter and Intra fund transfers for Form3 completion and review Trial Balance.
• Prepare and disseminate cash activity reports.
• Preparation of Schedule I's for the Legislative Budget Request by respective deadline.
• Prepare indirect cost Journal Transfers for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Grants.
• Assist Finance and Accounting in performing various financial analyses and reports for Department managers and staff, this includes analyzing quarterly financial statement reports of general ledger codes to minimize year-end financial adjustments.
