About The Position

The Government Affairs Associate supports the execution of Harley-Davidson's government affairs strategies and advocacy initiatives. The role monitors legislative and regulatory developments, conducts policy research, and coordinates activities that support the organization's public policy priorities. The position is remote, but candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area and able to attend in-person meetings and events. Remote employees must have a dedicated, quiet, distraction-free workspace and an internet connection sufficient to perform the job.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Working knowledge of key regulator and policymaker dynamics in the United States and key Harley-Davidson markets.
Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to conduct research, analyze information, and summarize findings into clear, actionable insights.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
