About The Position

This role supports organizational growth by identifying and creating new business opportunities within the government segment through outbound prospecting. It involves generating and managing a pipeline of potential customers to support the sales team's efforts. The role differentiates itself by focusing on cold outreach and lead qualification within a specialized market segment. Success is measured by the quality and quantity of leads generated and the effectiveness of lead qualification and appointment setting. The work directly impacts the organization's ability to expand its customer base and achieve sales objectives in the government sector.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Communication Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and build relationships with clients and team members. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. (Required)
  • Organizational Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. (Required)
  • Self-Motivation Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently. (Required)
  • Teamwork Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals. (Required)
  • Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. (Required)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Less than 2 years Call center/sales experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media to generate new business leads within the government segment
  • Manage and cleanse data in the customer relationship management system to maintain accurate records of prospecting activities
  • Communicate with prospects to understand their needs and build interest in the organization’s solutions
  • Follow established lead management and qualification processes to ensure consistent lead handling and appointment setting
  • Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality, processes, and performance to support continuous improvement
  • Qualify leads and set appointments to facilitate the sales team’s engagement with potential customers
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
