About The Position

As a Gourmet Food Runner for Carbone at Aria, you will be responsible for setting the stage for a world-class, theatrical dining experience by swiftly and accurately delivering dishes to the correct guests in our high-energy environment. Acting as a vital liaison between the kitchen and our Captains, you will orchestrate the precise timing of courses and clearly communicate special requests or item availability, leveraging your comprehensive menu knowledge to address guest questions regarding ingredients and allergies. By performing refined tableside service techniques, executing essential station setup, and moving efficiently under pressure to transport orders, you will work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure flawless culinary execution and create unforgettable WOW memories for every guest.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Work Varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required.
  • 4+ Years of prior relevant experience as a Food Runner in a high-volume, upscale, or luxury restaurant environment preferred.
  • Previous experience as a kitchen expeditor preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Swiftly and accurately deliver dishes to the correct guests.
  • Act as a liaison between the kitchen and Captains.

  • Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting.
  • Utilize knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries.
  • Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required.
