About The Position

As a Gourmet Food Runner for Carbone Riviera at Bellagio, you will enhance the guest experience by delivering dishes with precision, timing, and attention to detail in an upscale, coastal Italian fine‑dining environment. You will ensure each plate is presented flawlessly while confidently describing menu offerings and supporting the flow of service between the kitchen and dining room. By maintaining table readiness, assisting with overall service execution, and performing side work and cleaning duties, you will contribute to a seamless and elevated dining experience. Through teamwork, a strong sense of urgency, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations, you will help create memorable, sophisticated moments that reflect the vibrant elegance of Carbone Riviera.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Food Runner working in a similar Luxury or Fine Dining restaurant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver dishes with precision, timing, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure each plate is presented flawlessly.
  • Confidently describe menu offerings.
  • Support the flow of service between the kitchen and dining room.
  • Maintain table readiness.
  • Assist with overall service execution.
  • Perform side work and cleaning duties.
  • Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting.
  • Utilize knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach.
  • Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries.
  • Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required.
