Goods Movement Technicians are responsible for the safe and effective operation of a forklift, interaction with site automation, and flowing to all areas of operations to keep things running smoothly. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality protocols, system and equipment ownership for the area of operation, the ability to work in a team environment, and efficient handling of materials and finished product to support the Supply Warehouse’s operation.

Requirements

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves, safety vest & respirator) and use appropriate fall protection (as needed)
  • Are willing to work 12-hour shifts
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping, climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn, and bend
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended periods of time
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Discern the various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment start-up etc.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting inspections of the Forklift and other related equipment to ensure it’s in proper working condition
  • Unloading inbound Automatic Truck Loading System (ATLS) trailers, receipts, and shuttles
  • Pulling staged product and loading it into trailers
  • Staging feeder products and materials for customization lines
  • Unloading, staging, and storing partial pallets to facilitate partial consolidation
  • Performing line takeaway for pallets and materials
  • Ensuring our automated systems are running at full capacity
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using a Radio Data Terminal (RDT)
  • Keeping areas cleaned and organized to prevent obstructing the view of pedestrians or drivers
