About The Position

TPC Las Vegas is a premier PGA TOUR property, a par-71, 7,104-yard golf course open to the public in Las Vegas, NV, known for its Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd design and views of mountains, canyons, and the Las Vegas skyline. The TPC Network, owned, operated, and licensed by the PGA TOUR, comprises 30 premier private, resort, and daily fee golf properties designed to host TOUR-sponsored golf tournaments. These TPCs provide rent-free venues for tournaments, boosting championship golf purses and increasing charitable donations. They offer recreational golfers the chance to play on courses where professionals compete and are recognized for outstanding conditioning, amenities, and a commitment to environmental excellence, as well as supporting charitable and community-based programs. The Golf Shop Coordinator works with Assistant Golf Professionals to serve Members and Guests, playing a key role in generating retail sales and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable golf experience for all players and guests.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent education
Basic knowledge of general business practices, retail sales practices and procedures as would be acquired through one to two years of similar experience
Previous customer experience required

Responsibilities

Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible
Greet and welcome Members and Guests in a professional and courteous manner
Communicate clearly and professionally with Members, Guests, and fellow staff Members
Answer questions and provide assistance and information to Members & Guests
Answer telephones to schedule future starting times and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner
Accurately record time and date of reservation in the online reservation system
Make corrections and update online reservation system as appropriate when reservations have been filled or canceled
Email and telephone members/guests to verify advance reservations
Advises guests of any abnormal golf course conditions (overseeding, aerification etc.)
Communicate with local hotels/resorts concerning golf course profile (conditions)
Accurately open, operate and close the point of sale system per the Club Operations Manual
Handles and count cash, make accurate change, record credit cards, gift certificates and Member charges described by standard operating procedures
Collect green fees, car fees, and other incomes
Assist with physical inventories as required
Assist with the daily cleaning of the golf shop to ensure continued cleanliness and appearance of the Golf Shop, storage areas, and merchandise displays
Ensure that displays are kept at par stock inventory levels at all times and that the appearance meets or exceeds PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc. standards
Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques
Anticipate the needs of Members and Guests and offer appropriate merchandise alternatives
Assist with all closing procedures for the Golf Shop
Communicate up to date information accurately and effectively using radio communications to all areas of the golf course (i.e. Caddie master, outside operations, maintenance, etc.)
