About The Position

Glen Oaks Country Club is a private 18 Hole facility located in Des Moines, IA. The candidate should be motivated to serve our members with outstanding customer relations. Glen Oaks CC is a high-volume club with many member events, and daily play, therefore, being able to multi-task in a high-paced environment will be a critical skill needed. Attention to detail with billing and other daily tasks will be essential for success.

Requirements

Customer service experience both in person and on the phone is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the game of golf or experience in the golf industry is preferred but not necessary.
Skills with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and tee time booking programs are also preferred.

Responsibilities

Must work weekends.
Assisting members with the booking of tee times and registration for Club events.
Daily billing of golf events or daily member play on POS system.
Assisting members with issues on their monthly statements.
Answering the phone or servicing the member's inquiries in Golf Shop.
Promoting club leagues and events to members on the phone and in the Golf Shop.
Assist with daily opening and closing procedures when necessary.
Assist with the displaying and selling of Golf Shop merchandise.
Communicating with outside operations on daily updates and changes to tee times or member needs.
Other tasks are given by Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional.
