About The Position

Provide Members and guests with friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and quality Golf shop service. This role involves accurately reserving tee times, registering members and guests, and managing financial transactions. The associate will also be responsible for merchandising, selling golf shop merchandise, and understanding club policies to assist members and guests. Administrative duties and adherence to Hampton Golf's guidelines are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Two years of golf shop experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• Good organizational and verbal skills.
• Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to visually monitor the operation areas.
• Ability to write and read member communication.
• Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
• Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 50 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reserve tee times and register members and club guests.
• Ensure an accurate account of transactions, collections, disbursements, daily reports, deposits, and cash drawer/computer system.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists as outlined in the Golf Manual.
• Perform merchandising duties.
• Manage and sell golf shop merchandise to Members and club guests.
• Gather a working knowledge of the club’s policies and procedures in an effort to accurately inform the Members and club guests.
• Perform any requested administrative duties.
• Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
