About The Position

The Sales Associate at Golf & Ski Warehouse is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. This role involves evaluating customer needs, applying knowledge of golf and ski equipment features and benefits, and making recommendations to help customers make educated decisions. The associate will also operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment, assist with merchandising, and maintain inventory.

Requirements

Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store.
Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including one day on the weekend.

Nice To Haves

Golf knowledge and/or ski knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
We are looking for avid golf or ski enthusiasts, industry experience is NOT required.

Responsibilities

Maintain an awareness of all golf and ski product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf and ski equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf and ski equipment for the customer.
Educate customers on our golf and ski products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
