About The Position

The Golf Outside Service Staff is a vital part of the golf operations team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to golfers while maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the golf facility. This role involves assisting golfers with their equipment, managing the flow of carts, and ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for all guests.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., golf bags) and perform manual tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license (required for operating golf carts and equipment).
  • Outdoor position requiring exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Complete background driving record and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Greet golfers warmly upon arrival and provide assistance with bags and equipment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing guest needs promptly.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Load and unload golf bags onto carts efficiently and with care.
  • Clean golf clubs and carts after use.
  • Organize and store golf bags in the bag room or designated storage areas.
  • Stage golf carts for players before their tee times.
  • Ensure all carts are clean, fully charged or fueled, and stocked with supplies such as scorecards, pencils, tees, and sand bottles.
  • Inspect carts for damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Set up, maintain, and restock the driving range, including collecting and cleaning range balls.
  • Ensure the range area is clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Assist with setting up practice areas for lessons or tournaments.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the staging area, bag drop, and parking lot.
  • Provide information about course policies, tee times, and directions to golfers.
  • Assist with special events or tournaments as needed.
  • Ensure proper use of carts by golfers and enforce safety guidelines.
  • Perform minor cart maintenance and report more significant issues to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling equipment and supplies.
