About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Golf Shop Office staff with daily operations and other golf-related areas. This internship is ideal for individuals seeking a heartfelt workplace and a role that contributes to upholding treasured culture. The intern will perform job duties consistently and handle other assigned tasks in an ever-changing environment.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in Professional Golf Management curriculum in order to qualify for internship.
- Attending a two or four year College or University with an accredited P.G.M. program.
- Good positive team attitude.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Have a general knowledge of the Rules of Golf.
Responsibilities
- Assist the entire golf operations staff in performing duties relating to the daily operation of the golf shop.
- Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures (bank, computer, etc.).
- Attend continuing education and cross-training programs.
- Assist with inventory control on a monthly basis.
- Assist in daily golf shop maintenance (restocking, cleaning, reorganizing, etc.).
- Maintain and upkeep general golf shop supplies.
- Daily point of sale and scheduling tee times.
- Meet and exceed all guest expectations.
- Work with member committees on member events.
- Handle email and telephone inquiries.
