About The Position

As the Golf Landscaper/Greenskeeper at The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie, you will perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, including semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work. You will operate small hand-powered equipment and occasionally larger equipment such as tractors, fairway units, and various mowers. This role involves maintaining bunkers, ball washers, equipment fuel and fluid levels, and assisting in project work such as constructing greens, tees, and fairways, preparing soil, and seeding or laying sod. You will also operate trucks and light motorized equipment, maintain effective communication with guests and team members, and ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and wearing appropriate safety equipment. The position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow directions, and maintain focus on job performance. Weekend and holiday work, as well as mornings and evenings, may be required based on business demands.

Requirements

Washington State Driver’s license, required.
Ability to follow company policy/procedures and guidelines.
Ability to operate equipment safely and properly including: String trimmers, Edgers, Backpack blowers.
Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis.
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
Able to work weekends and holidays, mornings, and evenings as business demands.
Dressed in uniform at the start of each shift.

Nice To Haves

Experience in turf maintenance or related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance.
Operate small hand-powered equipment and occasionally larger equipment/machines (tractors, fairway units, triplex mowers, walking mowers, etc.).
Maintain bunkers, ball washers, fuel and fluid levels of equipment.
Return all equipment to the designated location in the maintenance facility.
Promptly report any equipment issues.
Assist in project work including construction of greens, tees, and fairways, preparing soil base, and laying sod or seeding.
Safely and properly operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
Maintain effective communication with guests and fellow team members.
Initiate contact with guests within 15 feet, with a sincere welcome and the willingness to assist.
Offer a genuine thank you and invitation to return at the conclusion of the guest’s visit.
Always yield to the guest.
Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and wearing appropriate safety equipment (safety helmets, ear protection, non-skid shoes).
Complete required job duties in the most efficient, productive manner ensuring a well-groomed golf course.
Assist in maintaining a clean environment including picking up trash in visible areas and eliminating clutter.
Uphold a reliable and responsible work ethic with the ability to follow directions both verbal and written.
Maintain focus on the job at hand with a sense of ownership in quality of job performance.
Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
