Golf Course Superintendent Location: Las Vegas Golf Club, Las Vegas, Nevada SCOPE Manages the golf course maintenance department day-to-day activities through maintaining quality standards, developing and retaining maintenance employees and exceeding guest expectations. Must be able to do this in a consistent manner with consideration to a given annual budget.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass, irrigation systems, and golf course equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficient in budget management and cost control.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and execute effective turfgrass maintenance programs to ensure the health and appearance of the golf course.
Monitor and manage irrigation systems for optimal water usage and turf health.
Oversee mowing, aerification, topdressing, and other cultural practices to maintain course conditions.
Manage and maintain bunkers, greens, fairways, and other course features to meet or exceed established standards.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of groundskeeping staff.
Schedule and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient and effective course maintenance.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist in the development and management of the annual budget for the golf course maintenance department.
Monitor expenses and work within budgetary constraints.
Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices on the golf course.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in golf course management.
