About The Position
Assists in the daily maintenance and preparation of the golf course under the supervision and direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.
Requirements
- Completion of the tenth grade.
- Six (6) months experience working in golf course, park, landscape, or general grounds maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Subject to background investigation.
Nice To Haves
- Basic practices in the care of golf course turf grass and associated facilities.
- Operate all of the equipment required for golf course maintenance.
- Deal effectively with the public.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates equipment such as mowers, blowers, irrigation equipment and other golf course maintenance related equipment.
- Cleans machinery after each use.
- Reports machinery/equipment problems to immediate supervisor.
- Cuts grass, weeds and bushes; Rakes leaves.
- Trims trees and bushes and removes cuttings.
- Waters turf grass as necessary.
- Loads and unloads materials.
- Collects litter and empties garbage cans.
- Fills and distributes water coolers.
- Cleans golf course restrooms.
- Performs related work as required.
