About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses. This role involves various tasks to ensure the playability and high-quality appearance of the golf course, including course setup, mowing, grooming, hand watering, and general upkeep of course amenities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• A minimum of one month's related experience
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment
• Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls
• Must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks

Responsibilities

• Perform course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations.
• Remove litter and waste, maintain ball washers, and provide general care and upkeep of course amenities.
• Mow and groom turf to maintain playability and a high-quality appearance.
• Operate walking and riding equipment.
• Hand water turf, which involves manually moving hoses and recognizing wilt conditions to maintain healthy turf.
• Perform hand labor, including raking, shoveling, pushing, and divot repair to groom the course.
