About The Position

The Coal Creek Golf Course is looking for qualified candidates to fill part-time Guest Services Attendant positions. This role operates under the direct supervision of the Assistant Golf Professionals and involves various guest services duties at the Golf Course. This is a part-time position with varied hours, requiring a minimum of three 7-hour shifts per week. Shifts can start as early as 6 am or end as late as 9 pm, seven days a week. Initial communication will be via email, so please check your inbox and junk mail frequently.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • All candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to direct, negotiate and mediate.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of golf preferred.
  • Prior experience interacting working with the public is a plus.
  • One year or more of customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous golf operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding customer service through personal interaction with all visitors.
  • May stage golf carts for daily use, clean, restock, and charge them after each use.
  • May clean and stage pull carts and golf bikes.
  • May stage the practice range for daily use and collect/clean golf range balls.
  • Occasionally serve as a golf course starter, maintaining a steady flow of organized play from the first tee.
  • Occasionally serve as a golf course ranger, enforcing course rules in a positive manner.
  • Inform golfers of rules and regulations and enforce them.
  • Coordinate the flow of golfers on the course with assistance from the pro shop and starter.
  • Provide direction and assistance to golfers, ensuring the smooth flow of play.
  • Provide timely updates to the Golf Pro Shop regarding pace of play, tee times, course conditions, and other pertinent information.
  • May maintain accurate tee time, customer records, and pace of play records using a computerized system.
  • Maintain communication via radio or phone with the pro shop and course assistant regarding play.
  • Monitor and record pace of play, reporting irregularities to the Golf Professional or Pro Shop Staff.
  • Monitor starter supplies and report shortages.
  • Monitor course dress code, golf equipment requirements, and cooler restrictions, reporting violations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Fill divots on par three tees using sand buckets.
  • Check water coolers for water content and adequate cups, reporting shortages.
  • Periodically walk onto putting greens and repair ball marks.
  • Check the restroom on hole 14 and the port-o-let on hole 5 to ensure they are clean and operational, cleaning as needed and reporting abnormalities.
  • Check and hammer back in any crooked or dislodged stakes.
  • Notify Golf Course maintenance and/or the Golf Shop of any abnormal conditions found.
  • Identify problems and notify the professional staff.
