About The Position

Oldfield Club, located in Oaktie, SC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Golf Course Equipment Operator! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The Equipment Operator will assist with the daily maintenance and presentation of the golf course while gaining experience operating a variety of specialized turf and maintenance equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous golf course maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
• We are willing to train the right individual who is motivated to learn and develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld equipment including weed eaters, edgers, backpack blowers, and other small-engine equipment.
• Assist with daily mowing and maintenance of the golf course.
• Properly trained to operate specialized walking and riding equipment used to mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
• Learn proper mowing techniques and equipment operation to maintain consistent turf quality and playing conditions.
• Assist with course setup, detail work, cleanup, and other daily maintenance responsibilities.
• Perform general landscape and golf course maintenance duties as assigned.
• Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper equipment operating practices.
• Work as part of a team to maintain the golf course to a high standard for our members and guests.
