About The Position

This position performs responsible unskilled work performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance and operations of golf carts and the driving range. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Pro Shop Lead. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have knowledge of the game of golf and dealing with the public.
A driver’s license valid in the State of Florida.
Must be willing and able to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
General knowledge of golf cart cleaning, maintenance, charging, and operations.
Skill in the maintenance and operation of golf carts.
Ability to interact positively with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work holidays and weekends.
Ability to be alert to traffic and aware of both safe and unsafe procedures and situations that may occur or be present while operating a City equipment or City vehicle.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other personnel.

Responsibilities

Washes, cleans, and maintains golf carts.
Charges and prepares carts for use.
Stages carts for usage during operations and returns carts to the cart barn at closing.
Uses available programs and resources to monitor golfers and/or equipment and takes necessary action to resolve issues.
Assists with the operation of the driving range.
Assists customers with golf bags and loads golf bags on and off golf carts.
Answers golfer’s questions about rules, regulations, and procedures of the golf course.
Enforces club rules regarding play, equipment, coolers, dress, etc.
Picks up and cleans range balls.
Assists with maintenance of the golf club house and parking lot.
Picks up paper and debris on public property.
Assists with equipment maintenance and repair.
Performs custodial and building and grounds maintenance work.
Sweeps and cleans area as needed.
Picks up and changes water coolers.
Performs related tasks as required.
