Golf Cart & Range Attendant
About The Position
This position serves as a general worker at and around the clubhouse, providing assistance to the Starter when needed and performing all requested tasks for clubhouse and kitchen staff. The role involves maintaining a positive community image and environment, supporting safety policies, and ensuring a safe space for staff and patrons. Key duties include maintaining the practice range, cleaning range balls and buckets, ensuring patron safety, and maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of golf carts and related equipment. Additional responsibilities include general upkeep of the clubhouse and surrounding areas, reporting broken equipment, and performing various marginal duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age with a valid drivers license.
- Must be dependable.
- Must have good safety habits.
- Must follow directions.
- Must work well with fellow employees.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive community image for the District.
- Strives to maintain a positive environment among the District’s organizational divisions.
- Actively supports the Safety Policy and the District’s established loss control program including training, safety rules, and developing ideas for the prevention of incidents, while providing a safe environment for Park District staff members and patrons.
- Maintains the practice range and adjacent areas.
- Washes range balls and turns off spigot afterwards.
- Picks up empty range buckets.
- Ensures patrons remain between the ropes or designated hitting areas.
- Checks for all patrons’ safety at all times.
- Washes cars and checks for gas every day in the beverage, range picker, and player assistance cars and ensures all washers are turned off afterwards.
- Checks water in club cleaners.
- Picks up garbage and debris around clubhouse and parking lot.
- Cables and locks outside cars and lock basement at the end of the night.
- Reports all broken equipment.
- Dusts, vacuums, empties garbage cans, and cleans golf shop.
- Moves umbrellas and chairs from patio at the end of the day.
- Performs other duties relating to the position as directed or delegated.
- Attends meetings, training sessions and seminars as assigned.
- Assists other Park District staff members as needed.
- Trash pickup.
- Snow removal.

- Cleaning Carpets.
- Janitorial Duties.
