Golf Cart Mechanic
About The Position
Performs general repair and preventative maintenance on electric carts and gas golf carts. This role involves diagnostic checks, repairing battery chargers, and maintaining scheduled checks on carts, including replenishing water in batteries to maintain charging capacity. The mechanic will also be responsible for general repair and preventative maintenance of all golf carts, ensuring they are in safe, operational condition, minimizing breakdowns, and preventing hazardous conditions. This includes repairing and adjusting brakes, changing tires and seats, performing diagnostic checks, and repairing battery chargers. Welding broken parts for reinforcement and monitoring cart breakdowns on the golf course via a two-way radio are also key aspects of the role. Additionally, the position requires providing excellent customer service and adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- 2-3 years’ experience in mechanic repair and preventative maintenance.
- Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Regularly requires concentration and alertness, vision, hearing, attention to detail, standing, reaching, handling, eye/hand coordination, lifting/carrying/pulling/pushing of up to 20-30 lbs., operating of golf cart.
- Frequently requires ability to understand verbal and/or written instructions from supervisors/others, work under minimal supervision with understanding of safety practices, walking, bending, stooping, eye-hand-foot coordination, talking/speaking to co-workers, lifting/carrying/pulling/pushing of up to 40 lbs.
- Visual capabilities required: good to excellent vision, depth perception, wide field of vision and color vision.

- Previous experience in golf cart repair and maintenance helpful.
Responsibilities
- Performs general repair and preventative maintenance of all golf carts, maintaining them in a safe, operational condition, minimizing cart breakdown and preventing hazardous conditions.
- Repairs and adjusts brakes, changes tires and seats, performs diagnostic checks and repairs battery charges.
- Welds broken parts for reinforcement purposes as required.
- Replenishes water in batteries and checks the charge output with a voltmeter to determine condition of battery.
- Operates a two-way radio to monitor cart breakdown on golf course.
- Provides each guest with the highest level of customer service in accordance with the Company’s Customer Service handbook.
- Observes all house rules and regulations including but not limited to safety regulations, following safe practices in the performance of duties, assigned tasks and practices good housekeeping in assigned work areas.
- May prepare written reports and maintain service/repair/preventative maintenance records for golf carts.
