About The Position

The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for preparing golf carts for the next user. This role operates light or skilled equipment with little or no supervision to perform the required tasks. The position requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work independently while remaining flexible with the demands of the schedule and work team. The role involves working around hazardous machinery and in inclement weather.

Requirements

• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Knowledge of light or skilled equipment operating procedures.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of department policy, procedures and work rules.
• Skill in operation of light or skilled equipment with no supervision.
• Skill in use of gasoline pump, handheld leaf blower and power washer.
• Skill in use of manual tools that might include screw drivers, shovels brooms.
• Ability to work independently but remain flexible in accordance with demands of schedule and work team in order to achieve department objectives.
• Ability to adhere to safety standards and recognize safety warnings and hazards.
• Ability to prepare accurate records.
• Ability to measure distance, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to demonstrate physical fitness, to include frequent moderate weightlifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing and walking for long periods of time, frequent bending and reaching, pulling or pushing.
• Ability to demonstrate clear vision during the day and at night, and sound hearing to avoid possible hazards, including moving vehicles and road equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate polite and courteous manner toward fellow employees and Township customers.

Responsibilities

• Collect, stage, refuel, clean and when required sanitize golf carts.
• Operate light or skilled equipment with little or no supervision that may include a gasoline pump, handheld leaf blower and pressure washer.
• Identify and report problems of maintenance for golf carts.
• Cycle the golf carts between the Pro Shop and the Golf Maintenance Building when golf cart routine maintenance is required.
