About The Position

Under close supervision, the Golf Course Attendant will monitor pace of play and help guide players throughout their day of golf. Staff presence will help ensure that players have the highest quality customer service at Landa Park Golf Course.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or in process of attaining.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Knowledge of City policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of the game of golf, golf course operations, and familiar with the rules of golf.
• Knowledge of City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skill in safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures.
• Skill in dealing tactfully and courteously with the public; and providing effective and friendly customer service.
• Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pace of play.
• Respond to golfers’ questions, requests, and concerns.
• Communicate throughout the day with the pro-shop and starter on duty.
• Direct golfers around the golf course.
• Inform golfers about golf course policies.
• Monitor the safety of golfers on the golf course.
• Pick up trash throughout the property.
• Check water cooler levels and re-fill as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
