About The Position

The Golf Attendant is responsible for greeting and assisting guests with golfing equipment, cleaning and preparing golf carts, and maintaining the golf shop and surrounding areas. This role involves direct guest interaction, equipment handling, and ensuring a positive golf experience for resort visitors.

Requirements

Must have valid driver’s license to valet guest vehicles.
Must have acceptable traffic abstract (no moving violation in the past 3 years).
Must be pleasant, smiling and friendly.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist guests with golfing equipment.
Clean, store, unload, and transport golfing equipment.
Clean and prepare golf carts for use.
Pick up supplies and merchandise for the golf shop.
Perform miscellaneous repairs of golfer’s equipment.
Daily set up of driving range, bag storage, and area staging area.
Retrieve range balls, baskets, and clean range balls.
Keep work area clean and tidy.
Assist other personnel in the golf shop.
Maintain and secure bag room area, alert to possibility of theft and/or misplacement of guest’s or company equipment.
Park and retrieve cars for golfers.
Greet and welcome customers following resort vehicle standards and procedures.
Answer questions regarding the resort golf courses and facilities.
Load and unload golf bags from cars and golf carts.
Clean and polish guest’s shoes.
Replace golf spikes and shoelaces as needed.
Maintain and clean rental golf shoes.
Clean and store rental equipment.
Charge golf carts and report repair needs.
Issue, retrieve, and wash range balls.
Keep locker room clean and tidy.
Transport golf equipment within the resort at guest’s request.
Offer guest amenities.
Maintain and re-stock supplies and golf amenities.
Maintain golf bag storage board.
Set up cart staging area.
Engrave golf bag tag.
Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Assist in the golf shop or locker room as needed.
Assist in coordinating golf tournaments.
Operate electric golf carts or utility carts, gas carts or flatbeds.
Operate range cart with ball picker/trailer.
Operate electric ball washer.
Operate bag tag engraver.
Operate battery charger for golf carts.
Operate radio and telephone.
Operate guest vehicles with standard or automatic shift.
Deal with irate guests.
Communicate verbally with employees, managers and guests/clients.
Communicate over the phone or on the radio.
Read names of golfers and engrave bag tags.
