About The Position
This role involves conducting accurate gold valuations using specialized testing methods, verifying purity, and performing precise calculations based on live market pricing. The specialist will also be responsible for executing scrap gold purchases, maintaining meticulous documentation, and supporting audit processes. Additionally, the position contributes to the development of standardized valuation procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of experience in finance roles, particularly in financial analysis
- Strong skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate gold valuation using XRF and/or acid testing methods
- Verify karat purity and identify non-gold or mixed-metal components
- Perform precise weight measurements and payout calculations based on live gold pricing
- Apply refinery yield knowledge to estimate melt value and recovery outcomes
- Execute scrap gold purchasing in alignment with internal pricing models
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation from intake through transfer
- Record and reconcile all transactions in accordance with company policy
- Identify discrepancies, irregularities, or valuation risks
- Support internal audits and reconciliation processes
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized valuation procedures
