About The Position

Lead/actively participate in global initiatives and programs designed to improve efficiency and ensure growth targets are met; responsible for partnering in and driving development of and implementing operational strategies to achieve global operational excellence including Kaizen projects and 5S compliance; responsible for reviewing 5S activities and condition of the plant and development of plans to address the problem areas, setting up improvement plans; participate in manufacturing operations meetings and monitor KPI progress (OEE, Scrap and Customer complaints); responsible for auditing manufacturing processes and developing responses to abnormal conditions and participate in optimizing processes, taking corrective actions, when necessary, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; perform data collection for major plant improvement areas/issues; analyze data, share trends and work with local plant leadership to develop corrective action plans; ensure compliance with the required standards, identifying and implementing action for process improvement and optimization; responsible for developing and monitoring continuous improvement projects and working with local leadership to implement the improvement projects; provide updates to the leadership on issues, improvement areas, continuous improvement activities, and other areas; responsible for training facility employees in continuous improvement techniques, Kaizen, quality processes, and manufacturing processes; participate in the development of specific process improvement plans and various plant monthly meetings to provide insight and ideas; monitor trends to determine the effectiveness of Kaizen and continuous improvement activities by analyzing the impact on established financial and other KPIs, including but not limited to inventory levels, scrap, safety, OEE, etc.; and research current market conditions for new products by region and support and develop new processes to improve BU’s output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or foreign equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Sciences and Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in developing specification and design of magnetic winding products and overseeing KPI control, Kaizen improvement, quality improvement, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement within magnet wire and cable manufacturing company
  • Up to 50% international and domestic travel required.
