Join us at Saige Partners, where we aim to shape your future and be the solution that propels your career forward! We are seeking a GNSS Test Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. Working under the supervision of the Test Manager, this role will support software and hardware verification testing in a laboratory environment and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on multiple test requests. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing mobile device prototypes, strong laboratory skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex test results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of laboratory experience testing mobile devices or wireless technologies.
Basic knowledge of LTE and 5G NR, including NSA and SA architectures.
Hands-on experience executing tests using platforms such as Keysight, Spirent, or Rohde & Schwarz.
Experience with device log analysis, post-processing, and network-side debugging of test equipment.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including: Oscilloscopes, NI power instruments, Spectrum analyzers, Signal generators, Other RF and electronic test equipment.
Experience with Python scripting for test automation, data collection, or analysis.
Familiarity with defect tracking and issue management tools such as JIRA.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and communicate root causes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests concurrently.
Willingness to provide on-call support and work later in the evening when required to support testing or project needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience testing mobile device prototypes in a laboratory environment.
Hands-on GNSS testing and troubleshooting experience.
Experience developing or contributing to automated regression testing environments.
Experience working with modem, GNSS, RF, or wireless software/hardware teams.
Familiarity with wireless communications test methodologies and laboratory best practices.

Responsibilities

Support new hardware bring-up activities and execute software and hardware validation tests.
Perform GNSS performance testing, including laboratory KPIs such as: Time to First Fix (TTFF), Positioning accuracy and statistics, Sensitivity testing, Other GNSS performance and reliability metrics.
Support specialized systems R&D testing requests and collaborate with engineering teams to develop and execute appropriate test plans.
Analyze test results, identify potential root causes, and document findings for engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including modem and GNSS software engineering teams, to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Develop and maintain Python automation scripts for test execution, log collection, data processing, and analysis.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and regression test environments.
Perform device log analysis, post-processing, and troubleshooting of test equipment and network-side issues.
Manage multiple testing activities simultaneously while meeting demanding project deadlines.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Follow established company policies, procedures, and quality standards to help ensure product integrity and reliability.
