About The Position

The Laboratory Animal Technician is responsible for the daily care of research animals, including cage cleaning and sanitation, animal observation, handling and restraint, treatments, investigator support/communication, and facility maintenance. This position will work in the Gnotobiotics Core and will perform the following specialized techniques: selecting and setting up breeders, weaning mice, gavage, IP injections, and ear punch. Emergency duties required during adverse weather and/or other emergency situations.
