About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Staff Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join their team. This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. The role involves designing and documenting model and simulation requirements and architecture, developing, verifying, and validating complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations, and evaluating system performance in complex scenarios and environments. The candidate will also support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities, and program reviews and technical interchange meetings. Experience in weapon system and/or sensor modeling, integrating MATLAB models, C++ models, and tactical software into simulations is required. Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB is essential, along with good communication skills and comfort in a collaborative environment.
