About The Position

The GMP Recycle Technician is responsible for the recycle, reuse, and reclamation program. This role involves collecting, salvaging, and sorting reusable or recyclable materials and waste materials, inspecting and sorting materials, and maintaining dock and collection areas. The technician will work with multiple collection containers and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires adherence to all safety rules, policies, and procedures, stopping at-risk behavior, performing work assignments in a team, and maintaining a clean work area. Additionally, the role involves following all company procedures, policies, and rules, taking direction, and communicating professionally with colleagues and customers. Maintaining logs and schedules, supporting shift leads, and using proper personal protective equipment are also key aspects of the job. The technician is expected to present a professional appearance and conduct, understand customer service and satisfaction, and be aware of reporting systems and environmental importance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience
CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
May be required to have a valid driver’s license
Completed all safety and task training certification
May be required to be forklift certified
May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
Forklift experience
