About The Position

The GMP Recycle Technician is responsible for the recycle, reuse, and reclamation program. This role involves collecting, salvaging, and sorting reusable or recyclable materials or waste materials, inspecting and sorting materials, and maintaining dock and collection areas. The technician will also work with multiple collection containers and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires adherence to safety rules, policies, and procedures, as well as professional conduct and communication.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience – preferred
CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
May be required to have a valid driver’s license
Completed all safety and task training certification
May be required to be forklift certified
May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA
Completed all safety and task training certifications
Regularly required to sit
Frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Occasionally required to stand

Requires to drive a forklift, cleaning throwing trash and working with Balers
