About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a strong commitment to maintaining compliance with GMP regulations. The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate who is eager to grow and build a long-term career within the company. Success in this position requires a strong work ethic, experience or interest in working within a GMP-regulated environment, and a technical mindset with a desire to advance within the industry. The individual will be required to wear appropriate PPE and gowning while working in a cleanroom setting. Candidates must be comfortable following detailed laboratory procedures, moving with precision, and consistently maintaining cleanroom and laboratory standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment
  • 2+ years' Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using various software systems is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process customer requests for materials and services, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Use SAP to request items from the Malvern, PA warehouse.
  • Oversee warehouse inventory, manage shipment requests (receiving and shipping samples), and process kit orders according to customer specifications.
  • Provide daily support to customers, ensuring clear communication about inventory levels, order statuses, and any issues.
  • Participate in customer meetings to discuss operational requirements, provide updates, and address client needs.
  • Handle purchasing-related activities, including backorder reporting, order expediting, coordinating direct factory shipments, managing third-party support, obtaining quotes, maintaining document control, updating records, and resolving invoice or pricing discrepancies.
  • Perform sanitization procedures in line with GMP standards, SOPs, and relevant procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling of samples by transporting them in closed containers, such as small coolers with lids.
  • Store chemicals according to safety guidelines, ensuring proper segregation as required.
  • Regularly inspect inventory for expired or soon-to-expire materials, ensuring proper removal and disposal.
  • Deliver packages, track deliveries, and follow up on package status to ensure timely and accurate receipt.
  • Perform lifting tasks as required, strictly following safety protocols when handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
