What this job involves: As a GMP Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance within biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments. This position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), established cleaning policies, and FDA regulations. You will ensure that controlled GMP areas remain sanitary and ready for the manufacturing of life-saving biopharmaceuticals. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will directly support product quality and patient safety. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience cleaning biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environments
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and crouching

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Computer experience for documentation and record-keeping
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in both internal and external customer-facing roles
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and understand documentation in English
  • Proven attention to detail with an excellent attendance record

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitization and cleaning activities in GMP spaces using ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers according to governing SOPs
  • Verify and execute proper sanitization disinfectant rotation, ensuring the correct disinfectant is used for each cleaning assignment
  • Complete required GMP documentation accurately and legibly, maintaining proper records that demonstrate Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Dispose of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles daily and maintain organization of sanitization supply areas
  • Follow proper solvent handling procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout all activities
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to ensure environmental monitoring results meet acceptable standards
  • Participate in required training on sanitization disinfectants, equipment use, and safety protocols
  • Must join Local SEIU within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work fully gowned (head covering, facemask, gloves, plant shoes, safety glasses/goggles, face shield) with no make-up, nail polish, or jewelry permitted in GMP process areas
  • Willingness to work 04:30 AM - 01:00 PM or 6:00 AM 2:30 PM schedule (Sunday-Thursday), including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
