About The Position

The GME Coordinator oversees Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs at the market level and ensures compliance with applicable center and regulatory requirements and standards. The role requires staying up to date with state, local, and national policies and credentials. The coordinator works cooperatively with outside review organizations, hospital personnel, nursing and ancillary services, and physicians to educate stakeholders about credentialing and Medical Staff organization requirements outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws. The position also acts as a liaison with assisting providers as needed and maintains documentation to support analysis, data retrieval, and troubleshooting of systems and databases.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience coordinating educational or other complex events or activities.
• Prior experience working with accreditation or regulatory guidelines and processes.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge and skills in performing credentialing activities consistent with HHS Credentialing Policies and Procedures.
• Skilled professional communicator, including electronic and telephone communication.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and manage time efficiently and effectively.
• Working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Procedures for appointment manuals.
