About The Position

Franklin Chevrolet is seeking an experienced, certified GM Service Technician. The technician performs vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with repair orders, dealership procedures, and manufacturer warranty specifications. The role involves communicating with Service Advisors about customers’ repair needs and estimating the time required for additional repairs. Requirements

At least 5 years of Service Technician experience.
ASE Certification.
A-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair capabilities.
Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.

At least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate directly with Service Advisors so customers are informed about additional services needed.
Estimate the time required for additional repairs.
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
