About The Position

Machine helpers assist in the set-up and operation of Bindery folder/gluer machines, following guidelines set in the job ticket. Successful machine helpers are motivated to succeed and work well in a team. Openings are on the Night Shifts. (3:30pm-1:30am)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must work well with others.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in machine operating or working with your hands is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Load and unload printed material from the folder/gluer machines
Assist the operator to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their equipment while following company policies and procedures.
Read and understand job tickets
Follow SOPs and instructions
Load and unload product on machines
Make boxes
Pack boxes or palletize goods
Move skids
Check for quality
Handle printed material
Maintain adequate levels of supplies in the department
Maintain a clean work area & remove waste
Follow safety policies and procedures
Keep your work area clean and “tour ready.”
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
Show commitment to the company’s workplace health and safety culture, especially with regard to OSHA and SQF guidelines.
Show commitment to the company’s food safety culture by actively participating in the SQF program and ensuring its requirements are met.
Report Food Safety Issues to the SQF Practitioner or backup.
Additional responsibilities as required.
