About The Position

The Global Workplace Safety Intern is dedicated to the safety aspect of GM's culture daily. This role offers the opportunity to implement and coordinate projects on a global scale with a hands-on approach, potentially affecting plant safety standards. The intern will gain a diversified knowledge of global workplace safety topics, including Industrial Hygiene principles and practices, assisting in the creation, coordination, and implementation of workplace safety processes.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health Sciences, Industrial Safety or related degree.
  • Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2030.
  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of safety and industrial hygiene processes related to manufacturing, engineering, and non-manufacturing operations.
  • Gain a diversified knowledge of global workplace safety topics including Industrial Hygiene principles and practices to assist in the creation, coordination and implementation of workplace safety processes.
