About The Position

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Vice President to lead and grow the global Informatics Solutions Portfolio within Core Lab Solutions and across Diagnostics business lines. This is a strategic, enterprise-level role with global accountability for setting portfolio direction, developing multi-year roadmaps, driving differentiation, and ensuring commercial success. The ideal candidate is a visionary, ambitious leader with deep expertise in diagnostics and digital health, capable of defining the future of Informatics in Diagnostics. This role requires a decisive, resilient, and customer-centric individual with strong executive influence skills to translate bold visions into sustained commercial impact. The Vice President will be the senior internal authority on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and portfolio trade-offs, acting as a key partner to R&D and global commercial leadership. The position involves defining how Informatics solutions are conceived, positioned, differentiated, launched, and scaled globally, with the goal of building a best-in-class informatics business that delivers significant clinical, operational, and economic value.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in diagnostics, IVD, healthcare IT, digital health, or medical technology, with significant responsibility for global product, platform, or portfolio strategy.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in diagnostic informatics, healthcare IT, digital platforms, data analytics, or AI-enabled solutions; Core Lab and enterprise lab workflows strongly preferred.
  • Proven success building and scaling global platforms or solutions portfolios, including competing against top-tier industry players.
  • Demonstrated ability to envision and build new businesses, not just manage incremental product extensions.
  • Strong track record of partnering with R&D, software, data science, and digital teams to deliver differentiated, profitable solutions.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, sound judgement, executive presence, and a bias for action.
  • Experience leading and developing global, cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global strategy, lifecycle management, and P&L mindset for the Diagnostics Informatics portfolio, from market insight and concept definition through launch, scale, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Define and execute a bold, multi-year informatics roadmap, spanning platforms, applications, data services, AI/advanced analytics, interoperability, and digital solutions.
  • Establish Informatics as a growth engine with clear value propositions independent of (yet complementary to) instruments, reagents, automation, and services.
  • Set portfolio priorities and trade-offs across regions, balancing global platform scale with local market, regulatory, and workflow needs.
  • Define a clear, differentiated competitive positioning for diagnostics informatics that surpasses current market paradigms and outcompetes established and emerging digital entrants.
  • Translate competitive intelligence, market trends, and ecosystem shifts into decisive portfolio and investment strategies.
  • Lead the development of competitive playbooks, platform narratives, and enterprise-level selling strategies for large, strategic Informatics opportunities.
  • Anticipate and shape the future of diagnostic informatics, including data monetization, AI-enabled decision support, enterprise analytics, and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Serve as the global subject-matter expert on diagnostic informatics, deeply understanding laboratorians, clinicians, hospital executives, health system leadership, IT, and digital transformation stakeholders.
  • Leverage direct customer engagement, market research, and real-world data to continuously refine portfolio direction and business strategy.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in defining how informatics delivers measurable clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Define global go-to-market strategies for Informatics, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, pricing architecture, and launch excellence.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to influence enterprise deal strategy, bundling/unbundling approaches, and Informatics-led value selling in competitive accounts.
  • Ensure commercial teams are equipped with compelling messaging, sales tools, economic value narratives, and scientific evidence to win consistently.
  • Provide clear, authoritative customer and market requirements to guide Informatics R&D, platform architecture, and data strategy.
  • Lead trade-off decisions balancing customer value, scalability, cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and speed to market.
  • Serve as a senior partner to R&D and Digital teams across development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Lead structured, global launches that drive rapid adoption, competitive displacement, and profitable growth.
  • Own post-launch performance, ensuring the Informatics solutions meet commercial, customer, and financial expectations over time.
  • Continuously optimize the portfolio based on performance data, customer feedback, and market evolution.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing global Informatics portfolio and product marketing organization.
  • Operate as a core member of the Diagnostics and Digital leadership teams, shaping integrated business, platform, and growth strategy.
  • Drive alignment and execution across a complex, global matrix organization, influencing without authority at the executive level.
