About The Position

The Global Transient Sales Manager serves as a key contributor within the Transient market, proactively cultivating partnerships and prospecting high-yield accounts to drive room nights, ADR, and market share. As an experienced individual contributor, this role manages and optimizes high-value global programs, collaborating closely with Sales Directors to support robust account management and deliver premier service solutions. All initiatives are executed with operational excellence, aligning seamlessly with the strategic objectives and premier brand standards of MGM Resorts International.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of prior relevant experience in Hotel Sales or related experience
  • Able to exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and present to large audiences across client forums and executive settings.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize account data integrity, ensuring accurate performance and seamless execution across key distribution channels, including GDS, PMS, account extranets, and brand websites.
  • Represent the MGM Resorts portfolio at global tradeshows, actively supporting partnership negotiations and driving brand presence to move the needle on our market visibility.
  • Act as a dedicated partner and primary point of contact for travel agents, agencies, and elite consumers, successfully resolving complex service needs and ensuring exceptional experiences.
  • Collaborate with hotel operations teams to coordinate and execute pre-arrival procedures, ensuring we consistently deliver a premier level of service to our VIP guests.
  • Analyze competitive sets and market trends, synthesizing data into actionable reporting and insights to support leadership in evaluating strategic market positioning.
  • Execute pricing strategies and manage rate loading processes, working cross-functionally with Hotel Operations, Call Centers, Luxury Reservations, and Finance to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Identify, qualify, and route high-yield Group opportunities (10+ rooms per night) to the Global Sales Office (GSO) or Property Group Analysts to help maximize enterprise-wide revenue.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on MGM Resorts' portfolios, hosting premier FAM trips and effectively educating partners on our elite services, destination activities, and property amenities.
  • Manage key transient sales projects, tracking progress, proactively identifying potential risks, and helping to mitigate impacts on organizational budgets and timelines.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal stakeholders regarding project milestones, budget updates, and timeline adjustments to ensure seamless alignment and project success.
